Living In A Cage!

Living In A Cage--Hong Kong
In Hong Kong, property prices have reached world record highs.
In response to the unaffordable prices of even small apartment, people have been living in wire cages like these for years.
The enclosures are tiny, and it can get unbearably hot with all those bodies in a small space.
It was revealed that there were 19 people living in a 625 square foot apartment.
A bottom-level cage will run you around $150 a month, whereas an upper-level enclosure would cost closer to $100 because they are slightly smaller.
While these residents aren’t exactly squatters – they pay exorbitant rents for the amount of space they live in – they certainly are off-grid.
There are two toilets for all 19 residents, one faucet, no shower, and their electricity is “donated.”
Many residents end up living in cages because of the failing Hong Kong economy and the poor job market.

Worst Bowling Ball Throw!

Take a look at the worst bowling ball throw ever recorded!

How The Onion Ring Was Invented

According to most sources, the onion ring was invented when a careless cook
at a Pig Stand location in Dallas accidentally dropped an onion slice in some batter,
then pulled it out and tossed it in the fryer for lack of a better destination.
Now, you’d think inventing the onion ring would be enough for one restaurant chain, but not Pig Stand.
The company also lays claim to opening America’s first drive-in, inventing Texas toast,
and being one of the first restaurants to advertise using neon signs.
Not bad for a little outfit from Texas.

Special Effects Begin in Movies

Special Effects Begin!!!
The first special effect came in an 1895 Edison Film, when Alfred Clark recreated the beheading of Mary, Queen of Scots.
He had all the actors hold completely still, with the exception of the actress playing Mary, while he paused the camera.
Then Mary was replaced with a dummy before filming started again.

What A Tree!!!

Nick Nichols, the “Indiana Jones of Photography," produced the first-ever high-definition, seamless composite photo of an entire redwood...
It’s 300 feet tall and between 1,500 and 2,000 years old...
The photo was created with 84 very high-resolution images,
taken at approximately 3-foot intervals from a vertical dolly rigged parallel to the tree...
