Deep Purple--Smoke On The Water--Remembering 1973
Remembering Deep Purple from 1973 with their big hit, "Smoke On The Water"...
We all came out to Montreux
On the Lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile
We didn't have much time
Frank Zappa and the Mothers
Were at the best place around
But some stupid with a flare gun
Burned the place to the ground
Smoke on the water, a fire in the sky, smoke on the water
They burned down the gamblin' house,
It died with an awful sound
and Funky Claude was running in and out
Pulling kids out the ground
When it all was over
We had to find another place
But Swiss time was running out
It seemed that we would lose the race
Smoke on the water, a fire in the sky, smoke on the water
We ended up at the Grand Hotel
It was empty cold and bare
But with the Rolling truck Stones thing just outside
Making our music there
With a few red lights and a few old beds
We make a place to sweat
No matter what we get out of this
I know, I know we'll never forget

Ginger Snaps For Your Brain!
You know...When I was in High School, we had a rather strange Physics teacher...
I mean, he was a really good teacher and we learned Physics at a high level...
But...Every time we took a test in his class, he gave everyone two Ginger Snap Cookies...
And a very small cup of warm Ginger Ale...
He insisted that the ginger would help us focus on the test and enhance our reasoning skills...
Of course, we all thought it was goofy, but we went along with our teacher...
And you know, the Ginger Snaps were not that bad and the Ginger Ale was sort of peppy...
And our class managed to pass that year of Physics and many of us went on to college...
And now...years later, I came across this article about Ginger being a "Brain Food"...

Failing Engines!
Failing Engines...
Fifteen minutes into the flight from Kansas City to Toronto, the captain announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, one of our engines has failed. There is nothing to worry about. Our flight will take an hour longer than scheduled, but we still have three engines left."
Thirty minutes later the captain announced, "One more engine has failed and the flight will take an additional two hours. But don't worry ... we can fly just fine on two engines."
An hour later the captain announced, "One more engine has failed and our arrival will be delayed another three hours. But don't worry ... we still have one engine left."
A young blonde passenger turned to the man in the next seat and remarked, "If we lose one more engine, we'll be up here all day!"
